Why Your First Date Should be a Mini-Date

By Obi Williams Dating is expensive! Im not just talking about the cost of dinner, drinks, and/or a movie; Im talking about the expense of your emotions and time in the dating process. In dating, the quantity over quality principle can leave you too emotionally drained to find the right person to spend your valuable time and energy with. You should always keep in perspective the time youre giving to the dating process, remembering that your time is valuable, and every minute with the wrong person, is a minute taken away from being with the right person. Therefore you should always want to make productive time out of your dating experiences. So how do you get around the dating process without pickup up the scars that come from dating too man Mr. and Ms. Wrong? Make your first date a mini-date. What is a mini-date?
A mini-date is exactly what it sounds like, a mini-date. Its an abbreviated version of what a full date would be like except you wont have the expense associated with having a full date. Its a date without the emotional, financial, and time constraints that are normally associated with a full date. A mini-date should be used like a pre-qualification for a full date. How long should a mini-date last?
A good time for a mini-date is 30 min to 1 hour. If after 30 minutes youve had enough, then you know you saved yourself from the time of enduring another date from hell. If after one hour youre both still intrigued about one another, thats a good indication that a full date might be in order. What should I talk about on a mini-date?
Specifics should be saved for a full date and/or a relationship. However you should want to touch upon subject matters that are important to you. You should be willing to openly ask for, and tell your deal breakers. You should touch on all those subjects that people tell you not to talk about. Sex, Religion, and Politics, thou not necessarily in that order, and theres no reason to be sexually graphic. Theres no sense spending an entire evening with someone you know you will have philosophical differences with. Opposites may attract, but they dont last. In the end, its better to date someone that you share similar interest with. If youre Catholic and the person that youre on a mini date with is Jewish, and you both know that neither will convert, a full date is not necessary. If your views are more liberal and your dates are more conservative, theres a good chance that you will have more things to disagree on than agree on. Know already what youre willing and not willing to accept, and what things can be compromised. Whats the best day and time for a mini-date?
Unlike a regular date, for a mini-date you want to choose a day and time where time WILL be an issue. In other words, you should try to schedule min-dates for those times when you have something to do before and/or after the date. A lunch or breakfast is a good mini-date. Wheres a good place to go for a mini-date?
The purpose of a mini-date isnt romance, but rather to gather enough information to see if a relationship with the person can lead to romance. You should choose places that are public and unromantic. You want to choose a place where the focus can be on the conversation and getting to know one another and not on the ambience, food, or waiter, or any other things that could be a distraction to getting to know the real person. For a min-date try going to a coffee shop, a bookstore, the gym, or a simple sandwich shop restaurant. What places should I avoid for a mini-date?
Since youre trying to extract enough information from your date to qualify them for a full date, its best to stay away from intimate restaurants, sporting events, bars, and night clubs. Basically stay away from loud places and any place where it would be difficult to carry a meaningful conversation. Mini-dates can be a very effective tool to pre-qualify your dates before you make the investment of your time in going on a real date. The greatest investment in dating is your time; and time is your most valuable asset. If you choose and invest wisely, you will reap the dividends in the end. Must Have Dating Tips For Guys - How To Attract Women Easily With These Zero Hype Dating Tips

By Chun Hung Leng Are you interested in how to attract women? If so, join the club. Millions of guys from one side of the world to the next are looking for the best ways to attract women. After all, who does not want to say that they have a date this weekend? The main goal of most guys is to meet a girl that they can spend time with, but if you do not know how to do this you are going to be at a major disadvantage from the start. Luckily, there are a few tips that you can follow if you are interested in how to attract women. Of course, not all of them will suit your needs, but you should at least be able to use what you learn in one way, shape, or form. The first thing that you should know when it comes to attracting women is that they do care what you look like. Of course, a lot of women say that they do not, but this is usually a lie to say the least. This is not to say that they want to date somebody with no personality, but all in all, the first thing that somebody sees is you! For this reason, if you want to attract women you should put on your best appearance. This includes everything from your hair style to your clothes to your shoes. When you look good you will do two things to better your situation. First off, women will be attracted to you because they will like what you see. Additionally, when you look good you will also feel good. And this confidence can go a long way in helping you out with the ladies. The next thing to consider when it comes to how to attract women is the way that you present yourself. For many guys, this is the hard part; not being able to look good enough. You need to make sure that you find a happy medium in between being too aggressive and not aggressive enough. Women are not going to be attracted to guys that swarm them from the start. But at the same time they want somebody who is showing that they have some confidence. Finding that happy medium can sometimes be difficult, but once you become comfortable with this you will be well on your way. In a general sense, if you want to attract women you should be yourself. This may sound a bit clich, but the fact of the matter is that it is true. When you act like yourself you will have a good chance of attracting women because you will feel good about who you are. And of course, you want to act like yourself so that you attract women who have similar traits and qualities. Obviously, this is very important if you want to have one date turn into two and so on. If you are interested in how to attract women you are not alone. This is a problem that guys struggle with day in and day out, and one that does not have a set answer. To be a success when it comes to attracting women you need to know what you are doing, and how to tilt the scale in your favor. Overall, you can learn how to attract women if you are willing to put in some time and effort. Even if you think that you are doomed to live a single life, this does not have to be the case. Don't Blame Me If I'm Fat!

By Jim Foster In a culture of blame-shifting we often look for someone to blame for our predicament. Being overweight is no different - who is to blame for obesity? "It's the fast food outlets - supplying us with fatty foods" "Our thin-obsessed society is putting all sorts of pressure on even slightly overweight folks" "The weight loss industry is to blame - after all if everyone was slim - they would go out of business" Some will simply blame the overweight person - making generalizations and attaching unhelpful labels to the person. "After all" they say, "it's up to us to manage what we eat and how much we exercise". There is truth in this, but it is too simplistic. Many overweight people have tried desperately to eat 'properly' to manage their weight - yet continue to struggle for years. There are a number of outside forces here that have more of an influence than we realise. So Who Is To Blame? The weight loss industry is large, with millions being spent every year by people looking for answers. Like any industry, it has it's share of charlatans and snake-oil salesmen. Many manufacturers of diet pills and weight loss supplements are certainly opportunists - rather than looking to treat the source (i.e. by eating right), they are trying to treat the symptoms. However we have found that most decent commercial weight loss programs have a genuine interest in helping people manage their weight. So it's unfair to cast blame on the entire 'industry'. If we were to start looking for culprits, we might want to cast our eye at the food processing industry - that, coupled with savvy marketing experts, has snared us into eating so many kinds of processed foods that going to the supermarket is like walking through a nutritional minefield. Get Them While Their Young The Center For Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) recently conducted a study of the magazine "National Geographic for Kids". In 17 recent issues they found 51 ads for junk-foods - including a depiction of one meal that contained 590 calories (remember this is a magazine for children). Many years ago a certain famous fast food outlet began calling its meals for children "Happy Meals" - creating an emotional response and attachment to certain foods - typically nutritionally poor foods. Chemical Food and Clever Marketing It's not the weight loss industry that's to blame - but the clever marketing tactics from the food processing giants that are misleading us. To make things worse - some popular weight loss diets have unfortunately associated themselves with snack food corporations, and severely reduced their credibility. Is a low-carb / low-fat (take your pick) snack bar really that good for you? Take a look at the ingredients list - can you decipher all those numbers? Do you understand what a 'partially hydrogenated oil" is? What about those great 'health' bars for the kids - they even have the healthy tick on them (indicating they are recommended by the American Heart Association). On closer inspection those 'healthy snacks' are nothing but lots of refined sugar, some white flour, trans fats, and a host of other chemicals. But hey - they're low in fat so they must be good? Right? Finding the Right Food It's a nightmare. What exactly is good for you? Who do you believe? Next time you see those bright colors, and eye-catching ads - do your own inspection of the ingredients list - you might be surprised. Recently we bought some cranberry juice for our young daughter who had a slight urine infection - knowing that cranberry has some useful medicinal properties. Like any frazzled parent, having time to stand and stare at the nutrition panel while shopping with children is a rarity. That night our daughter had trouble getting to sleep, and woke up 3 or 4 times in the night. This is unusual for her. On closer inspection of the so-called cranberry juice - we discovered that only 30% is actually cranberry, and the rest is water and 'high fructose corn syrup' - a chemically altered sugar with a fair share of (anecdotally) noted poor health affects. What Is The Answer? If obesity had a simple cause, don't you think we would have the answer by now? Good diet and exercise are the answer - but when we have large corporations spending millions to make us buy their food - it doesn't seem so simple anymore. Go figure - profit in the food industry is made by either people buying more food, or sourcing/manufacturing basic ingredients at less cost. How does good nutrition factor in this? Are you starting to get the picture? There is no miracle weight loss cure - no diet plan that will fit everyone. The only long term answer is understanding how your own body reacts to the foods you eat. Weight loss is not a 6 week program, but a lifelong commitment to good nutrition and lifestyle. How Does Vagus Nerve Stimulation for Treating Depression Work?

By Foras Aje For about 25% of the population, one form of treatment or the other for depression is currently in use. The most current one being discovered is whats known as Vagus Nerve Stimulation for treating depression But what exactly is it? Vagus Nerve Stimulation is a new treatment that claims to offer an alternative for treatment resistant individuals and is also a treatment for epilepsy, which is thought to share a common cause with mood disorders. For exactly how it works, several components are involved and they are described below. Medical research shows that the vagus nerve is one of the primary communication pathways from the major organs of the body to the brain. The whole mechanism behind VNS is that the stimulation associated with it is delivered by a pulse generator that send mild pulses to the vagus nerve in the left side of the neck. The vagus nerve then delivers these pulses to the areas of the brain involved in the regulation of mood. After the therapy, most patients who may have undergone the treatment go home the same day or the next. Now, as far as it-Vagus Nerve Stimulation for treating depression being recommended, it's safe to say it depends on the individual. However, the purpose of this article is just to enlighten you all about the whole subject on Vagus Nerve Stimulation for treating depression, what it's about, the pros, cons and all else that may be attached to it. From what it sounds like, it most likely cant be an inexpensive procedure and if simpler, affordable and successful options do exist, at least for the mean time, keeping it basic might just as effective an approach. Cellulite Treatment Options

By Susan Megge We women are sick and tired of the dimples that seem to cling to our thighs; theyre not cute, happy dimples, but rather ugly cottage cheesy cellulite. We want beautiful, smooth legs that we can be proud to show off, and not feel that its necessary to wear shorts or a sarong over our bathing suits in order to protect spectators from such a dreadful sight. Unfortunately, there is no permanent cure for cellulite, but there are treatments available that may (and I do mean may) help some women get just a little bit of temporary improvement. Treatments for cellulite range from harmless and barely effective to potentially harmful with no proven effectiveness, but some are worth looking into. What is Cellulite? Believe it or not, the fat in cellulite is just plain old fat, the same as any other fat on your body. The term cellulite became popular in 1973 by an author and spa owner, and refers to the dimpled appearance of the skin seen in areas of the hips, thighs, and buttocks. As you may know, cellulite is more common in women because of the way a women's body distributes fat. Experts estimate that about 85% of women develop cellulite. Because men have thicker skin, which is much better at hiding the fat beneath, its not likely that youll see a lot of men with cellulite. Treatment Options Cellulite is perfectly normal and isnt a disease, therefore, there is no cure. There are, however, options available to reduce cellulite and its appearance. Sticking to a regular exercise routine, eating a healthy diet lower in calories and fat, and maintaining a healthy weight may work as a cellulite treatment for some people. Losing weight will most definitely reduce the proportion of fat in your body, thus reducing the proportion of the fat that's trapped in cellulite, but you may still notice some amount of cellulite on your trouble areas. This is due to the fact that the appearance of cellulite is genetically predetermined and in some cases diet and exercise dont make a significant improvement. Topical Creams As you know, there is a number of creams available claiming to reduce and eliminate the appearance of cellulite. Generally, if a cream is to be effective the results are modest and usually not permanent, but some experts suggest if youre determined to give the creams a try, its a good idea to look for those products that contain caffeine or theophylline. While some studies suggest that these ingredients may have an effect on cellulite and cause fat cells to dissolve, other studies disagree. Some experts even go so far as to say that applying a cream to your cellulite will not be effective since your skin was designed as a protective barrier to keep things out. That being said, there are many people who have used cellulite creams and believe that they have seen results. If you want to try a cellulite cream, its strongly recommended that you purchase a less expensive cream, as usually the ingredients dont differ from the more expensive brands. Endermologie A very well-know treatment for cellulite is Endermologie, a deep-massage, which uses a device that suctions the skin with a vacuum and kneads it with a set of rollers. Some studies have shown the deep-tissue massage can break up some of the fibrous bands, assist with circulation, and improve the appearance of the skin. While this treatment may work for some women, the effects don't last and you'll need regular maintenance treatments to keep the desired appearance. Typically, Endermologie sessions can cost anywhere from $100 to several hundred dollars, and are performed weekly, usually taking about an hour per session. Some people have seen excellent results with this treatment, but it can be costly, therefore, its best to go this route only if you have a significant amount of disposable income. Mesotherapy Mesotherapy, involves a series of injections into small pockets of cellulite. They contain a solution (a combination of homeopathic medications and supplements) that is supposed to break down fat and flush it away. While this treatment is widely accepted in Europe, it has not been scientifically studied in the United States and many experts are skeptical of its effectiveness. Due to the lack of scientific proof, this treatment is not recommended, as the risk for side effects from several injections is certainly a possibility. Additionally, Mesotherapy can be quite expensive, with individual sessions costing perhaps hundreds of dollars. Herbal Medicines To date there has been no proof that any combination of herbs or vitamins is known to be effective in treating cellulite. If youd like to attempt this treatment, however, its a good idea to check with your health care provider first, since it can cause dangerous interactions with other medications. Dont let the term natural mislead you; even natural substances can be dangerous. Liposuction The average woman may think that liposuction is the perfect remedy for cellulite since what theyre trying to do is eliminate fat and thats what liposuction does, right? Unfortunately, liposuction is designed to eliminate fat thats deep beneath the skin. As you know, cellulite is nearly right at the surface of the skin. Additionally, its the fibrous bands that give cellulite its dimply appearance, so eliminating the fat alone wont really give the results youre looking for. So whats the Answer? In the end, theres not a whole lot of evidence to show that any treatment is effective in treating cellulite. If youre at your wits end and are determined to do something, its best to experiment with a treatment that poses no health risks. Keep in mind, however, that the results will likely be modest and you shouldnt invest too much money at least until a treatment is developed whose results are proven effective. My advice is to do the best you can with diet and exercise and creams if you choose but the next time you get really discouraged, pick up a tabloid magazine and take a look at some of the photos of the perfect and beautiful celebrities; they have cellulite too, and they also have endless amounts of cash. If even the richest women in the world are dealing with cellulite theres a good chance we average women will have to accept it (at least some amount of cellulite) too. Rating the Fad Diets

By Brian Johnston THE 200 POINT SYSTEM With so many different diets available, how are we to know
what works and what is safe? The only way to be sure is to
discover the author's background and the research behind
the diet's methodology. Every good diet should give a
background about the author and his/her credentials and
experience in the fields of nutrition and biochemistry.
However, even a vast resume does not mean a credible and
safe diet. But it does suggest, at least, that the author has
some knowledge of nutrition. Providing research behind the
diet proves that the diet is not something the author
invented, so long as the research is not self-serving and
altered to fit a hypothesis. Some diets may not need a great deal of tests and studies
behind them, simply because they are based on
fundamentals. For example, many women's magazines
have articles on dieting and weight loss, but they are
common sense suggestions that most people concerned
about weight should know already: "Eat smaller meals", "cut
down on sugar and fat", etc., are typical philosophies. More
structured diets should give some scientific reasons for its
suggested success, preferably case studies and research
performed on everyday test subjects, as well as athletes. Since we have established the importance of eating a
balanced diet in accordance to selecting healthy foods and
obtaining RDA minimums, it is possible now to rate the
diets in accordance to those specific criteria. Begin with a
score of 200 and subtract 10 points from the total for each
statement below in which the diet concedes. An ideal diet
should maintain a score of 200, but a score of 160 or
greater is acceptable. 1. The diet does not include the food groups in adequate
amounts. Some fad diets eliminate one or more of the food
groups. Do not deduct 10 points if a food groups nutrients
(e.g., carbs, proteins, fats, fiber, vitamins, and minerals) are
adequately substituted with that of another food group. 2. The diet does not provide at least 45% of its calories from
carbohydrate sources. In order to prevent ketosis, at least
150g of glucose/day is required. Thats 33-50% of total
calorie intake on a 1200-calorie diet. Keep in mind that is
the minimum. For highly active individuals, that amount
should increase to 60% at times, i.e., immediately after
exercise. 3. The carbohydrate content exceeds 20% concentrated
sugars. At least 80% of carbohydrate sources should be
complex, and preferably in the form of vegetables, seeds,
and legumes. 4. The protein content exceeds 30%. A very high protein
intake is unnecessary, it places additional strain on the
urinary system, and it is a poor source of energy. Thirty
percent is more than adequate, even for growing children
and teenagers. The only group that requires higher protein
intake are those who recently suffered a severe injury (e.g.,
leg amputation), infection, or surgery. However, these
individuals will be under the care of a physician with a
special high protein diet. 5. Protein content accounts for 15% or less of total calories.
Although unnecessary in large amounts, protein still has
many vital functions, including tissue repair and the
formation of enzymes. 6. Fats exceed 30% of total intake. Besides increasing the
risk of cardiovascular disease, high fat diets have not been
demonstrated to decrease weight better than other methods
of proper eating. 7. Total fat consumption is less than 15% of total calories.
Fat in moderate amounts is essential for a healthy diet, and
such a diet provides taste to many foods. Fat intake below
15% for long periods, for most individuals, is unrealistic.
Fat intake that is too low can also be detrimental to children
and teenagers who require ample kcalories for continued
growth. 8. Total fat consumption is less than 25% essential fatty
acids, and saturated fat is more than 30% of total fat
consumption. Deduct 10 for each. 9. The diet does not suggest common foods, meaning
foods you should be able to obtain at any grocery store or
market. 10. The foods for the diet are expensive or monotonous.
Some diets require the purchase of their foods or
expensive organic foods only obtained through health food
stores. Some foods taste so bad they are difficult to
tolerate repeatedly (e.g., seaweed). Deduct 10 for each. 11. The diet consists of an inflexible meal plan. The diet
does not allow for substitutions or deviations, requiring a
person to live under house arrest with the same food
selections every day. 12. The diet provides less than 1200 kcalories per day.
Less than that and the body's basic functions may not be
getting the energy, vitamins and minerals needed to work
properly, and the dieter almost is certain to feel hungry all
the time. Diets below 1200 kcalories should be reserved for
those under the supervision of a dietitian or licensed
physician. 13. The diet requires the use of supplements. If the diet
provides adequate energy and it is well balanced,
supplements are unnecessary. Fat accelerators, such as
ephedrine, may increase the rate of weight loss, but the diet
should be able to stand on its own merit. Some diet clinics
promote a vast array of herbal preparations and fat
accelerators, and this is where these clinics make their
money not in their knowledge and ability as nutritionists. 14. The diet does not recommend a realistic weight goal.
Diets should not be promoting the body of a Greek god or a
supermodel. They should not be suggesting that a person
lose 100 pounds (even if 100 pounds overweight). Nor
should diets recommend weight loss below an ideal
weight. 15. The diet recommends or promotes more than 1-2
lbs/week weight loss. Do not expect to lose more than 1-2
pounds of fat a week it is physically impossible unless
chronically obese, at which point 3 pounds may be
possible. If more than two pounds is lost per week, the
body change is due to a loss of water and/or muscle tissue.
Gimmicks that promise 10 pounds in 2 weeks are either
simply not true or else something other than fat is being
lost. Also keep in mind that the more fat a person wishes to
lose, and the less a person has, the more difficult and
slower it will be to lose additional fat. 16. The diet does not include an evaluation of food habits.
Dieting should be a slow process by which a person
changes normal eating habits. It should not include looking
for quick fixes and quick plans promising short cuts and
extreme changes a person would never stay with these
programs and such diets do not work long-term. The
number of kcalories eaten, and the food selections and their
amounts, should be reevaluated on a regular basis
perhaps once every 1-2 months to determine the programs
effectiveness. 17. Regular exercise is not recommended as part of the
plan for proper weight loss. Weight loss occurs twice as
fast with exercise, and without exercise there is a greater
tendency to lose lean muscle tissue as well as fat. This is
not ideal. OVERVIEW OF VARIOUS DIETS Low Carbohydrate Diets: Ketosis occurs, and this presents
the same problems as fasting. Once glycogen stores are
spent (which happens quickly with athletes and those who
exercise regularly), glucose must be made from protein
sources, and there is greater wear on the kidneys as a
result. Even on a high protein diet, some protein will be
taken from body tissues in order to produce enough energy
for the nervous system and regular activity. The onset of
ketosis is an indication that this process has begun and it is
not a positive aspect, regardless of what pro-high-fat
authorities indicate. Great weight loss on a low-carb diet is evident because of
the fact that carbs hold water in the muscles at a ratio of 1:3.
As carb intake decreases then so, too, does water retention.
Much water flushes as a result of lack of glycogen to hold
water molecules. Moreover, by increasing protein intake,
excess nitrogen flushes with even more water since the
kidneys use water to dilute the concentration of nitrogen.
Once leaving a low-carb diet and the muscles refill with
glycogen, fluid concentrations increase and the dieter
regains some of the weight. Low calorie diets of 400-600 kcalories that consist primarily
of protein have the same problems as fasting and
low-carbohydrate diets: proteins are used for energy and
weight loss comes largely from water. Low-cal diets must
be supervised properly by a medical professional and only
as a last resort for those who cannot seem to lose weight by
other methods. However, even those individuals tend to
regain most of their weight back once they return to a

Sedu Hair Straightener Vs. Chemical Straighteners

By Paton Jackson Well, you have made up your mind to straighten your hair. But how should you do it? The most popular hair straightening methods are chemical straightening and hair irons. Sedu hair straightener is the most popular and efficient hair iron; therefore we will use the sedu hair straightener as the hair irons representative. Find out the differences between chemical straighteners and the sedu hair straightener. A chemical hair straightener rearranges the structure of the hair from curly to straight structure. The chemicals usually used are sodium hydroxide, guanidine hydroxide and ammonium thioglycolate. Using chemical straightener could be dangerous, so we advise you to let a professional do it (remember, you may cause a permanent damage to your hair). Chemical straightening is consisted of 4 main steps: 1. Strand test The test purpose is testing the strength, elasticity and texture of the hair. The test will help you determine whether your hair can handle the chemicals and which type is the best for your hair. 2. Using a protective cream over the scalp. The cream will shield a damaged hair. 3. Rinsing the chemicals with hot water over the hair. 4. Relaxing the scalp using a special conditioner. The sedu hair straightener makes a temporary change for the formation of your hair and not a permanent one like the chemical straighteners. If you are not sure you want to have a flat hair for the rest of your life use a sedu hair straightener. However, the sedu hair straightener requires a daily use of not less than 10 minutes. The sedu hair straightener is not expensive and it can be used by anyone. The risk of causing severe damage to the hair is less significant. Using the sedu hair straightener is consisted of 4 steps: 1. Cleaning the hair before using the sedu hair straightener. 2. Drying your hair for about 15 minutes using a dryer. 3. Using the sedu hair straightener on your hair. 4. Combing or brushing your hair. Whether you decide to straighten your hair using chemical hair straighteners or using the sedu hair straightener, the most important thing is keeping your hair healthy and keeping up with the straight trends. Good luck. WE executed an independent research to find the best hair straightening methods. The results were clear. Sedu hair straightener is the most efficient hair straightener. Vegetable Garden Ideas

By Kara Kelso The first year I lived in a "real house" I was excited to get a garden started. I just couldn't wait until spring when I could plant all kinds of veggies. While this seems like a good idea, it really wasn't. Being a new gardner, I let my excitement get the best of me. Luckily, part of my family made sure I still had a very nice garden that year. Here are a few tips I learned: 1. Make sure you have enough room
Some plants get bigger than others, and take up more space. Make sure you give certain plants more room than others, and plan enough sunlight for smaller plants. I've had smaller plans die in previous years because they eventually end up in the shadow. 2. Start small
Don't plant everything you can find. Ask your local gardening supply store what will work best in your area for beginners. Tomatoes work best where I live, but don't work well in other areas. 3. Start with plants, not seeds
Instead of throwing seeds in the ground, start off easy buying plants that are already started. They have been started at the right time of year by experts, and are much easier to grow. 4. Know your time limits
If you can only devote 10mins per day to your garden, make sure you only have a few plants. Pulling weeds can quickly become a problem, so if you have limited time don't make a big area that will take a long time to weed. I hope these ideas will help you this spring when you start your first garden! ------------------ About the Author: Kara Kelso is the mother of 2 and owner of several online businesses. How to Enjoy Your Favorite Food Without Gaining Extra Pounds

By Hope Elpis Every day we hear a lot about nutrition, dieting and healthy living, and see pictures of lucky people who have managed to loose a dozen pounds and now smile to us from the cover of a glossy magazine. However, the question is how do you eat your favorite food and not gain extra pounds? Adhere to the following tips and you will have an admirable waistline. First of all, use small plates. You cannot put much food on a small plate so you will not overeat. Secondly, make pauses between bites. Your brain needs some time to realize that you are full. Thirdly, it all comes down to will power. Do not allow yourself to overeat. No matter how strong your desire to get one more serving may be, do your best to overcome the temptation. You will be glad you did! Fourthly, keep moving! Use every opportunity to walk. If your workplace is not far from your house, do not take a bus or get off the bus one stop earlier and walk the rest of your way. Fifthly, set small goals. Do not try to lose a dozen pounds in one week; be realistic. Each time you reach your small goal, you will be motivated. After all, Rome was not built in one day. Asking Someone Out on a Date? 10 Good Tips for You

By Alex Carter 1. The paramount question to ask yourself before asking someone out on a date is are you ready to deal with rejection? Not saying that you will definitely be rejected, but the possibility is there and you better understand that now. Asking someone out on a date is not easy, but you can get over your fear if you come to grips with the reality first. 2. Do you know exactly when it is that you want to ask someone out on a date? If you are planning a specific time to pop the question then make sure you put thought into it. Sometimes it is all in the delivery and too much commotion could mean nervousness that causes problems. 3. Are you ready to follow up this question with an idea of what you will do on the date or are you simply asking with blind hope? Confidence is key in the question and follow up, so make sure that you know the plan and it is something that they would be interested (if you know that much about them). 4. If this person says yes to the date do you know what exactly this entails? In other words, if you ask someone out on a date and they say yes are you ready for a relationship? Better ask yourself these questions now instead of later! 5. Do you have a foolproof way of asking the question where it will not be confused as a friendly invitation to dinner or fun? It is much easier to ask, do you want to go to dinner? But if this is perceived as completely friendly you may have a problem. Ask questions like, I really like you, do you want to go out sometime? or Id really like to take you out sometime, is that okay with you? 6. Are you preparing to ask in a way that will make them question your intentions or your seriousness? Lines like, I forgot my number, can I have yours? are funny, but may not be taken seriously! 7. Do you have a history of or could it be possible that you are asking in a way that puts tremendous pressure on the other person to say yes? This shouldnt make them uncomfortable, but asking in a public setting or in front of friends could be a problem. 8. Are you prepared to let them set the time and date of the meeting? The possibility is that your time and date wont work so are you free to the idea of moving your schedule should your quest to ask someone out on a date succeed? 9. If you do get rejected are you okay with the thought that you may not (and probably wont) get a reason as to why you were rejected? Asking someone out on a date is difficult and that puts pressure on both parties involved, meaning truth is usually not going to happen. Be ready to accept it and move on. 10. In the event that your proposal (dont worry, just your asking someone out on a date) is accepted, are you ready to follow through? You will likely only get one chance if you stand someone up so just flat out dont do it! Prepaid Cards Over Postpaid and Homephone's Earlier Monopoly

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Jade_Amethyst]Jade Amethyst The growing demand for convenient phones to telecommunicate had led to the invention and manufacturing of cellphones. Remember how landline companies monopolized the national telecommunications industry in the past while those of you who cannot avail of telephone lines complained of their inefficiency regardless of your ability to pay telephone bills. It had reached a point when concerned consumers brought their influence to the making of the innovation in telecommunication industry. Gone are the days when you had to trouble yourselves from using the transportation system just to get in touch with people you need to talk to. An institution of gifted engineers and inventors however broke this monopoly to solve this national telecommunications problem that many considered as a major breakthrough. Imagine how much time and effort were saved to connect to people when another telecommunications company took the challenge of competition. This company with a promising advertisement in media tried to service phone lines to households where the pioneer telecommunications company failed short on some transmission lines in the past decades. But that wasnt the end of telecommunication trend. Soon enough, big telecommunication companies faced greater challenges with the entry of the cellular business. Now, the consumer has the option to choose which phone company is most convenient for him. This competition we could say is very much beneficial for the phone-user public. To anticipate the competitiveness of their businesses and of course to earn profits, telecommunications companies were driven to improve their services for continuous patronage of phone-users. Cellphone companies, aware of every consumers needs and wants, continue to evolve to satisfy consumers, and as a gesture of their appreciation to the phone-user public and Gods providence for making their business a success. They also undertake the responsibility to use exceeding profits for social work. Going back in the 1990s, only people who have the capacity to pay cellphone bills were given access to cellular telecommunications but a new technology called the phone prepaid powered by a SIM card system and prepaid card had created a big hit in the market particularly in other parts of the world. The prepaid phone, that gets credit from using prepaid cards, had had open the door to those consumers who would want to manage their consumption in a month. Its no wonder therefore that even our maids can now afford cellphones. So far the competition in the telecommunications industry has been fierce enough that some people terminate their landline in favor of cellular lines and the reason is that monthly bills for cellular lines are cheaper. You might want to compare he prices. Load your cellphone with a prepaid credit consumable for a month and compare your expenses to your monthly landline bill that is exclusive of NDD and IDD calls. Cellphones, particularly the one using prepaid cards, have other benefits aside from saving you from expensive monthly bills. They do not function exclusively to telecommunicate. Anytime people would like to contact you and you are not home to receive their calls on a landline phone, you can anytime pick their calls up with this handy gadget that you can take wherever you go, even while driving. Its always handy and you can always choose from a wide array of fancy designs with logos, pictures, wallpapers and cameras features excluded in landline phones. When your prepaid cellphones run out of credit, you can conveniently click your favorite online prepaid card stores anywhere. If you are using postpaid, you might call your customer service assistant to give you some temporary credits. Cellphones do remarkable services, sometimes more than what we bargain for. If you are not using much your landline and you want to trim down your expenses monthly, you might want to choose between keeping your handy phone or your home phone. As between postpaid phone and prepaid, you might be able to manage your charges when you go for a [http://www.flatrateonline.net/ ]prepaid card-powered phone. The latest technology in this business aside from performing its primary telecommunications function, can entertain you as well.
